What kind of scan works best?
A clear, straight scan of the whole statement — a scanner or a scan app that outputs a PDF gives the most reliable read. Keep every row legible and make sure no rows are cut off at the edges.
Does the reconciliation check still run on a scan?
Yes. The same balance reconciliation runs on a scanned statement as on a digital PDF — every running balance is cross-checked against the transactions, and any row the engine is unsure about is flagged rather than guessed.
Will a phone photo of a statement work?
It can, if the photo is sharp, evenly lit and shows the whole page flat and in frame — but a proper scan (or the original PDF) reads more reliably, so reach for a scan first if you have the choice. Either way, uncertain rows are flagged so you know what to double-check.
What formats can I upload?
A digital or scanned PDF is best. Common image formats are also accepted for a scanned page; if a page is blurry or a row is cut off, that row is flagged rather than guessed, so you always know what to double-check.
