What is an OFX file, and what opens it?
OFX (Open Financial Exchange) is a standard bank-feed format accounting tools import to add transactions. Convert your statement to OFX and import it into Xero, QuickBooks Online and most bookkeeping software instead of typing transactions in by hand — or export CSV for QuickBooks Desktop and spreadsheet workflows.
Does the OFX import into QuickBooks and Xero?
Yes — OFX is a format both accept for importing transactions from a file. Xero imports OFX directly; QuickBooks Online accepts OFX/QBO uploads. If your version prefers a spreadsheet, you can export CSV from the same result instead.
Are the transactions reconciled before I import?
Yes. Every running balance is cross-checked against the transactions and uncertain rows are flagged, so you catch a misread before it reaches your books — not after you have reconciled the month.
Do I need my bank login to make the OFX?
No. You upload the statement PDF you already downloaded from your bank; we never ask for your bank username or password. The OFX is built from the document you provide.
